The Opposition:

The Pools expected more from the start of their season as they currently sit 15th in the National League but caretaker manager Antony Sweeney has had two positve results in his first games in charge of the club.

Despite being five places below, the home side are only two points behind the Bees and only four points off equalling the tally of three of the sides in the play-off places. The season may be well underway now but there is still plenty of points to be picked up and Hartlepool will certainly be looking to climb the Vanarama National League table.

The Gaffer: Antony Sweeney

Although only in temporary charge of the Pools, Sweeney will definitely take confidence from his first two fixtures in charge of the club having won both games, a 3-0 away win against Aldershot Town and cementing his sides position in the first round of the FA Cup following a 1-0 win over Brackley Town.

Having made just under 400 appearances for the club during his playing career, he scored a respectable 53 goals from a central midfield position and will look to take his positive playing career into his coaching career also.

One to Watch: Gime Toure

Hartlepool have a number of players who will cause Barnet problems on Saturday however, Gime Toure has enjoyed a positive season so far and is the Pools’ top goalscorer so far with 7 goals to his name and will be looking to add even more to his tally.
