Pete Wild started coaching as an 18-year-old before getting his first professional role at Oldham Athletic.
Wild spent 10 years at the Latics before departing Boundary Park in May 2019.
The 37-year-old was appointed manager of FC Halifax Town in July 2019 and led the Shaymen to the National League play-offs in his first season in charge.

Billy Waters
Billy Waters started his career with Crewe Alexandra in 2013, before moving to Cheltenham Town in 2015 where he enjoyed rich goalscoring form.
He then joined Northampton Town on a permanent deal which saw him loaned out to three different clubs.
The forward spent last season at Vanarama National League side Torquay United, where he scored six times in 26 appearances.
The 27-year-old signed for FC Halifax Town last summer and has made his mark among the team as this season’s top goalscorer.
