The Bees

The Bees head to Boreham Wood in good form and are now unbeaten in their last five games in all competitions following Saturday’s goalless draw with Aldershot Town. Currie’s side creates chances but had to settle for a point in an even contest.

However, they will be full of confidence and know that all three points will take them on the fringes of the playoff places.

The Hosts

The Wood themselves have been in fine form and they are unbeaten in nine league outings and they’re now eighth in the Vanarama National League. They were stung by a late equaliser in their last outing when they faced Eastleigh on home soil, so they’ll be keen to bounce back and take all three points this time out.

The Gaffer

Luke Garrard took over at Meadow Park in 2015 having represented the Wood in three different spells.

Having also played for the likes of Swindon Town, AFC Wimbledon, and Northwood, Garrard made his name with Boreham Wood and went onto make over 150 appearances for the North London team

As a manager, Garrard has led the Wood to 20th, 11th, 19th and, most notably, 4th placed finishes during his spell. His side reached the play-off final but were beaten by now League One side, Tranmere Rovers.

One to watch: Kabongo Tshimanga

Kabongo is the Wood’s top goalscorer this season having found the net on 14 occasions.

For the first 3 years of his career, Tshimanga played for MK Dons but was loaned out on multiple occasions. After loan spells with the likes of Aldershot Town, Chelmsford City, and Yeovil Town, Tshimanga made the permanent move to Boston United.

He joined Boreham Wood this year and has been in fine form since his arrival
