EFL League Two

The Hive

Tuesday 16th August 2016 – 8pm

Team News: Martin Allen has revealed that there will be no Michael Gash tonight, in his latest interview with barnetfc.com. The striker went off injured in the win against Accrington Stanley and is awaiting the results of a scan. Shaun Batt could replace him in the team, following some good performances for the Bees’ reserves.

Last Time We Met: Barnet beat Blackpool 2-0 when the teams met at The Hive, in last season’s FA Cup 1st Round. You can read the report from that match here.

Opposition Form: The Seasiders began the season strongly; beating Exeter City 2-0 in the opening match of the campaign. They then followed that up with an impressive 4-2 victory over League One Bolton Wanderers in the EFL Cup 1st Round. Things didn’t go so well last Saturday though, as Gary Bowyer’s men lost 2-1 to local rivals Morecambe.

Dangerman: Brad Potts already has two goals this season, having found the net against Bolton and Morecambe. The former England U19 international struck six times in 2015-16, as the Tangerines were relegated from the third tier.

Last Time Out: Despite Potts’ goal putting Blackpool ahead at the Globe Arena on Saturday, Morecambe came back to win the match 2-1. On loan Liverpool forward Jack Dunn pulled the Shrimps level on the stroke of half time, before Michael Rose grabbed the winner in the 76th minute.

Meanwhile Barnet beat last season’s playoff semi-finalists Accrington Stanley at The Hive. You can read the match report from that game here, or check out the highlights below:
