ONE TO WATCH

Billy Waters

The Shaymen striker began his professional career at Crewe Alexandra back in 2013 after coming through their academy. However after two years in the senior side, he moved to Cheltenham Town.

In over 80 games for the Robins, Waters scored 23 goals before signing for Northampton Town, where he was loaned out to Cambridge United, Newport County and back to Cheltenham Town.

Waters then put pen to paper at Torquay United in 2020, where he spent the majority of last season.

It was at the Gulls where Waters found his previous form, scoring 6 goals in 26 appearances which led to FC Halifax Town snatching him up in the latest transfer window.

Waters’ clinical finishing has made him the Shaymen’s top scorer this season with seven goals to his name.
