Barnet returned to the top of the Vanarama Conference on Saturday with a thumping 5-0 win over Welling United at The Hive.

A sensational solo strike from Mauro Vilhete got the ball rolling with John Akinde netting a brace before the break, the second of which came from the penalty spot after Chris Bush was sent off for denying Michael Gash a goal-scoring opportunity with a push in the penalty area.

Michael Gash then grabbed a goal of his own on the hour mark with an excellent chest and volley before substitute Luisma Villa wrapped things up with a deflected effort during the closing stages.
