Barnet were crowned as champions of the Football Conference for the third time in their history on Saturday, defeating Gateshead 2-0 in front of a bumper crowd at The Hive to finish one point clear at the top of the league.

Mauro Vilhete proved to be the match winner, scoring with a well-placed header midway through the first half before lashing in from close range early in the second to ensure that the Bees finish on top of a table which they have led from vuirtually start to finish.
