Barnet returned to the top of the Vanarama Conference table on Saturday, as John Akinde’s 30th league goal of the season gave them a 1-0 victory over Nuneaton Town at The Hive.

Charlie MacDonald came closest to breaking the deadlock during the first-half with a shot that came back off the inside of the post, but Barnet’s efforts wre eventually rewarded 20 minutes from time when John Akinde chested down and lashed past Max Crocombe to take the Bees back to the summit.
