Martin: “The players have done us proud”

Martin Allen gave a quick update on the condition of his squad on Friday afternoon ahead of tomorrow’s visit of Eastleigh to The Hive.

Speaking ahead of the game, the manager said:

“After picking up four points in the last two away games against Forest Green and Braintree we have a few knocks and bruises but the players have battled well, fought like tigers and done us all proud.

“There’s a few that won’t make it tomorrow but the ones coming in are gagging for the opportunity to show what they can do.”

He also revealed that he was looking forward to welcoming a special guest to The Hive ahead of what promises to be an exciting day as the Bees look to stretch their lead at the top of the table:

“I am looking forward to seeing one of the special people that was involved in our amazing escape a few years ago in Jack Midson. I am sure that he will get a good reception from all of our supporters.

“The games are coming thick and fast and everybody in our squad has to be used to keep things fresh and exciting and full of energy. I

“No doubt once again this place will be buzzing. I look forward to hearing everybody tomorrow for what I’m sure will be another special day for us on and off the field.”
