Barnet manager Martin Allen was pleased with his side’s performance against Blackpool, but revealed that he is now fully focused on next Saturday’s match against Luton Town.
Speaking after the game, Martin said:
“I thought we were the better team from start to finish.
“The players have been very well prepared – everyone knew their jobs and did their jobs.
“It was a thoroughly deserved victory today.
“The commitment, energy and unity amongst the whole group goes a long way.
The team spirit and the faith that they’ve got in each other – we’ve all seen how powerful that can be at any level of football, and we’ve got that in abundance.
“The players are very committed, honest and humble, and when they play for us they give their all for the team.
“I enjoy the FA Cup and of course I want to win every game that we play in that competition.
“But the only thing that’s on my mind since the referee blew the final whistle is our away game at Luton on Saturday.
“It’s a local derby, and we’re going to travel up the A1 for what I would say is a big game for this club.
“I’m really looking forward to it, I’m going to enjoy watching our team play, and we’re going to work hard in training this week to get a result there.
“It’s going to be a great day out.”
