It ended in heartbreak though for the home fans, as in the 94th minute a goal directly from the corner from Jake Howells gained Dagenham a point at the death.
18-year-old Payne put in a classy performance from left-back and won the fans vote on Twitter to be named the best player for The Moors on the day.
