Barnet FC Ladies Manager Tracey Kevins has relinquished her post with immediate effect.
The statement came after the defeat by Yeovil Town in the Third Round FA Women’s Cup tie at Underhill yesterday.
Tracey had previously said that she would be leaving the club at the end of the February to take up the post of head coach of LA Strikers in the United States.
However, she has made the decision to bring forward her departure to allow her successor to take charge for next week’s FAWPL National Division Fixture at Coventry City.
Tracey was appointed Manager of Barnet FC Ladies in February 2004 after previously serving the club since 1989 as a player, a captain, and as a successful reserve team manager.
In her tenure as first-team Manager Tracey won eleven trophies, reached two FA Women’s Cup Semi-Finals and was named Manager of the Year at the FA Women’s Football Awards in 2010.
The highlight of Tracey’s Barnet career was guiding the team to winning the FA Women’s Premier League Cup in 2011.
Everyone involved with Barnet FC Ladies would like to thank Tracey for her outstanding contribution to the club and to wish her every success in her new role in the United States.
An announcement regarding her successor will be made very shortly.
