Defender Joe Grimwood becomes Dean Brennan’s fourth signing of the summer.
Grimwood spent last season at newly promoted National League side Braintree Town and joins the Club on a 2 year contract.
The 22 year old centre-back previously spent 6 seasons at AFC Sudbury before making a move to The Iron, where he played 90 minutes in 45 out of 46 league games last season.
Upon joining Barnet, Grimwood said:
“I run through brick walls for my players, gaffer and the Club. I enjoy the art of defending; that’s what I do best.
It’s a big challenge stepping up but I think I’m ready to do it; I can’t wait to get started.
It’s a proud moment for myself and my family.”
Barnet FC Manager, Dean Brennan, said:
“Joe is a really good one-on-one defender.
He had a fantastic season at Braintree, reads danger really well and wants to defend.
He’s strong and aggressive; he’s a beast!”
Welcome to Barnet, Joe.
The deal is subject to the usual FA and League clearances.
