International | Jack Taylor scores as Republic of Ireland are beaten on penalties by Mexico

It’s been a busy few weeks for Taylor away on international duty with Republic of Ireland U21 team.

Earning his first call-up this summer, Jack made his debut for the national team as a second-half substitute against Bahrain, helping the boys in green on their way to the semi-final against an impressive Brazil outfit.

Taylor was used once again as a substitute in the semi-final defeat before earning his full debut in their third/fourth place play-off with Mexico.

Following the 0-0 draw, the tie was forced straight to penalties and Jack made no mistake to dispatch his spot-kick, though his side was eventually beaten 4-3 in the shootout.

Jack’s performances in the Toulon Tournament have done the Club extremely proud and we look forward to welcoming him back into training here at The Hive.
