Jake Hyde will have an MRI scan on Thursday afternoon to assess the full extent of an ankle ligament injury.

The forward returned to action against Welling United on Saturday but suffered a new injury in training on Sunday.

The Bees’ second top scorer will now undergo a scan to assess the injury and the club should know more by the end of the week.

Club Physiotherapist Pete Friar spoke to BarnetFC.com earlier to reveal more details about the scan and what will follow.

“I think I know what the scan is going to reveal but for me it is all about how we manage the injury, whether it be surgical or non-surgical.

“It will all depend on the severity of the injury which will be revealed following a scan tomorrow. We should know more by the weekend."
