Barnet FC are delighted to announce the signing of 24-year-old midfielder Scott High!
Scott will officially join the Bees on July 1st 2025.
The highly-rated Yorkshireman arrives down South with impressive league pedigree, having played 50+ games for Huddersfield Town – the majority of those coming in the EFL Championship.
He also enjoyed several loan spells while at the Terriers, including Concord Rangers, Shrewsbury Town, Rotherham United, and most recently two stints at Halifax Town – where he took part in the National League play-offs.
Scott, who believes Steven Gerrard was “the best midfielder in the Premier League”, is hoping to channel his hero at the Bees.
He told the Bees media team:
“There was quite a bit of interest from Dean and the staff here early in the summer.”
“I thought Dean and the staff showed quite lot of love towards me… so it was a no-brainer in the end.”
“The league’s very tough but the squad that the Gaffer’s putting together looks really challenging, so hopefully we can do the best we can and push up that table”.
On securing his new man, Manager Dean Brennan said:
“Scotty’s been on our radar a long time – he’s a player we tried to sign last year, and even the year before when he was at Huddersfield.
“He’s got an excellent football brain, tremendous fitness levels, brilliant appetite for the game. Good awareness, good vision – and he’s a great age.”
“He’s infectious, and a proper ‘Dean Brennan’ type of ‘signing’ – and we believe he’s got a bright future at the football club.”
“We’re delighted Scotty’s signed with us as he had several options, so really good business from us again.”
