The Bees fell to a 4-3 defeat away at Grimsby Town this afternoon. Here’s what our Head Coach had to say following the match…
Harry, it was a frantic, but ultimately frustrating afternoon at Blundell Park this afternoon. Can you sum up your emotions for us?
“I am absolutely disappointed. I felt that we dominated large spells of the match from the start which is why today’s result is a frustrating one.”
We have spoken in previous post match interviews about creating chances but not finishing them. Today we scored three but still could not get the win.
“I can not fault my players today as I thought they were excellent. It is a shame that the refereeing decisions did not go our way though.”
The players gave their all today but still could not quite get the three points today. What is the feeling in the dressing room?
“They are really disappointed because our supporters have travelled a long way up here and have been let down by certain decisions. I thought that our players put on a good display for the Bees fans.
“We have done everything possible to get the win today but unfortunately some of the decisions went against us which did not help.
“With that said, I can not criticise any of my players for their work ethic today.”
We move onto Eastleigh at The Hive London next Saturday. How are we going to pick ourselves up following today’s result?
“We go again and work hard to do the right things in football. We will be fine.”
