Owen joined the Bees on loan from Cheltenham Town in January 2025, before making the move permanent ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

The Welsh shot-stopper made his debut away at Forest Green Rovers and went on to keep six clean sheets in a row, conceding just seven goals in 18 games.

The 28-year-old quickly cemented himself as a fan favourite with his trademark distribution and remarkable composure on the ball and played a key role in the Bees’ title-winning defensive unit last in the 2024/25 season.
