A move to Hartlepool United followed where the midfielder would spend the next four seasons. During his time with The Pools, he achieved his second promotion to the Football League as Hartlepool defeated Torquay United in the play-off final.
Up until the end of last season, Gillmore rose up through the academy system at Millwall as part of the Under 18 and Under 21 sides at the New Den. He also spent time in Chelsea’s Academy setup earlier in his career, and joined up with the Lions in 2019, signing his first professional deal in the summer of 2021.
