One of the longest-serving current players in Dean Brennan’s squad, Idris has become an influential figure on the football pitch for the Bees since his arrival four years ago and now, he’s entering fifth season with the club.

Kanu has worn the black and amber shirt on 174 occasions heading into the 2026/27 campaign and has netted 21 times and racked up 14 assists alongside that.

Starting out in West Ham’s Academy, Kanu’s career then took him to Aldershot for a season in the National League, which earned him a move to League One side Peterborough United.

During his time with the Posh, Idris experienced a few loan spells, but still amassed over 50 appearances in a Peterborough shirt prior to his move to the capital.
