The 25-year-old forward  joined the club in the summer of 2023 after scoring 13 goals in the National League North for Brackley Town in the 2023/24 campaign.

Stead won the Mangers, Players and Supporters’ Player of the Season award in that season, having helped Brackley Town reach the National League North play-off final.

Prior to Brackley, Stead played for Kettering, Hitchin Town and South Shields.
