EVANS BECOMES FIRST SIGNING OF JANUARY

We are delighted to announce the signing of EFL experienced goalkeeper Owen Evans on loan until the end of the season.

The 28-year-old shot stopper joins the Bees from League Two side Cheltenham Town on loan for the rest of the season.

He began his career at Hereford United before signing for the Wigan Athletic academy. Whilst with the Latics he made one professional appearance as well as taking on loan spells at Witton, Rhyl, North Ferriby, Sutton, Macclesfield and then Cheltenham Town.

Owen signed permanently with Cheltenham in 2021 before earning a move to Walsall in 2022. He made 70 appearances for the midlands side before rejoining Cheltenham in 2024.

Speaking on his arrival, gaffer Dean Brennan said, “Owen is a quality goalkeeper.

“He gives us more depth to our squad.

“Evans also has plenty of EFL experience, he will add a different profile to what be already have at the club.”

 Welcome to the Bees Owen!

The deal is subject to the usual FA and League clearances.
