He began by sharing how training has been this week…
“Training has been strong. The players have worked hard Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
We have worked hard on our mentality, not to accept second best, and that winning ugly is just as important as winning beautifully.
Performing at the highest standard needs to stay consistent, and with 3 games left we have 9 points to win.”
Rossi went on to discuss how his players have bounced back from last Monday’s Wycombe defeat..
“The response from the players over the course of the season has always been professional, it’s up to me to find solutions to our areas of development in the final third.
Working hard, winning our tackles, winning headers and individual 1v1’s – we will accept nothing less than our best.
We have excellent senior professionals at this football club who produce their maximum in training every week.
With these elements, together with our young players coming through, it’s right and important for everybody to work together with hard work and exciting football.”
In regards to the kind of team we can expect to see on Saturday, Rossi explained:
“The team to expect for the weekend will be hard working, strong mentally, move the ball well with simplicity and be exciting to watch.
The players, staff and myself want the travelling fans to enjoy their day, as we know they work hard all week to follow us round the country all season.”
Rossi ended with some injury news…
“Watson is out with his knee injury. Nana is in the process of rehab on his hamstring. Ephron is now back playing on the grass following his quad problem.
Bira has a calf strain, while Vilhete has a hip problem.”
