DUO CALLED UP FOR INTERNATIONAL DUTY

Jake Hyde and Keanu Marsh-Brown have been called up to play for England C against Latvia on Tuesday September 10th.

Paul Fairclough’s side will travel to Jelgava and face a tough test against a Latvian Under-23 side but they will be heavily supported with up to 20 Bees expected to make the journey.

The duo have been in fine form this season helping the Bees win three out of five and remain unbeaten at the top of the Skrill Premier table.

Both players will also bring goals to Fairclough’s side with Hyde scoring five in five and Marsh-Brown netting two from the wing.

Fairclough was also keen to include Bees centre-back David Stephens but was unable to as the 21-year-old is classed as Welsh after appearing for their Under-21s.

Defenders Anthony Acheampong, who played for England C against Bermuda in the summer, and Andy Yiadom have been called to the contingency squad.

Speaking to the FA.com Fairclough stated that the experience will ensure the players improve, which will only help the Bees moving forward.

“This will be a new nation to compete against, with exposure to yet another style of play. These experiences continue to enhance and improve technique and ability  of our players.

“We look forward to the challenge.”
