Following our announcement last week about the sad passing of Bees fan Gareth Needham, affectionately known as Donny Gaz, the club have been asked by Gareth’s family to communicate details of his funeral to all Barnet supporters.

The funeral will take place on Thursday 4th December at 1pm at Rose Hill Crematorium, Doncaster, DN4 6NE, with everybody that wishes to pay their respects more than welcome to attend.

We have been asked by Gareth’s family to explain that having been overwhelmed with flowers of condolence during the last week, they would like to kindly request that any future contributions be made in the form of donations to their chosen charity, the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Barnet FC will be offering a wreath on behalf of everybody at the football club and all of our supporters.

Gareth’s family would also like to emphasise that there is no dress code for the funeral, and that all guests are welcome to wear whatever they feel is most appropriate, from formal attire to Barnet shirts.

Following the funeral, a wake will take place at Doncaster Golf Club, 278 Bawtry Road, Doncaster, DN4 7NY, with everybody invited to attend.
