We are delighted to unveil the signing of 26-year-old midfielder Dennis Adeniran!
Described by manager Dean Brennan as a “high class player” with an “excellent football brain”, Dennis bolsters an already strong midfield unit for the season, giving us “vital EFL experience from further up the pyramid”, according to the Gaffer.
Originally contracted to Premier League sides Fulham and Everton before being loaned out to Wycombe Wanderers, Dennis went on to enjoy a highly successful stint at Sheffield Wednesday, playing a key part in Darren Moore’s promotion-winning side to the EFL Championship, scoring five goals in the process.
He then joined Portuguese side Portimonense before making the switch to Hapoel Petah Tikva in Israel, followed by a return back to the UK with Scottish Premier League side St. Mirren.
Now making a return to his London roots, Dennis spoke to us about his reasons for joining the Bees in his first Club interview:
“I think [Dean Brennan’s] playing style and obviously with the conversations I’ve had with him, he’s given me an opportunity to showcase what I’m about.”
When asked about his best attributes as a player, he said:
“I’m a number 8 box to box midfielder, energetic and I like to chip in with goals.”
“I’d say I’m dynamic, good with the ball, I can see a pass, and I’m just determined.”
On his goals for the season ahead, Dennis said:
“My personal ambition is to get as many games as I can, obviously help the Club get back to back promotions and just enjoy football.”
The deal is subject to the usual FA and League clearances plus international clearance.
