DEFENDER OLLIE KENSDALE JOINS THE BEES

Barnet FC have strengthened our options in defence with the addition of Ollie Kensdale on a two year contract!

Kensdale becomes Dean Brennan’s second player to join ahead of the Bees return to the EFL for the 2025/26 season.

Ollie spent the last 6 months in the South East of Sussex at Eastbourne Borough, competing in the National League South.

He made 32 appearances in the league, playing a key role throughout the season and helping his side secure 3rd place and a semi-final play-off spot on the final day of the season.

He began his career at Colchester United, working his way through the youth system and breaking into the senior team in 2017.

During his time with The U’s, he went on loan spells to Maldon & Tiptree, Bath City and Braintree Town before making a permanent move to Concord Rangers in February 2021.

Just under a year later he joined National League side Southend United, spending 3 years with The Shrimpers before joining Eastbourne Borough back in November 2024.

Speaking on his arrival, Barnet Manager Dean Brennan said,

“Ollie Kensdale has been very much on our list for the last 3 years.

He’s a fantastic distributor of the ball and a real leader.

Ollie has a really good football brain and a great tactical understanding of the game and we’ve admired him from afar for a long time.

We’re delighted that he’s decided to join us and now that it’s happened, it’s fantastic news for the Football Club.

He fits the criteria perfectly of what we’re looking for in a centre half.

Ollie’s a brilliant age, just turned 25 and again is joining our Football Club for footballing reasons.

He has the right mentality and knows that we make good players even better which means we have a better team.

I’m excited to see him get going.”

Welcome to the Bees Ollie!

The deal is subject to the usual FA and League clearances.
