DAVIDS UNLIKELY TO FEATURE

The Bees start 2013 with a home fixture against Aldershot Town on New Year’s Day at Underhill with the game kicking-off at 3 o’clock.
Barnet are in a good run of form, having added 7 points out of a possible 9 in the last three fixtures, with the last league reversal at home coming as far back as mid-October when Plymouth Argyle were as convincing as the 4-1 scoreline in their favour would suggest.
This run includes three consecutive home draws against Accrington Stanley, Oxford United and AFC Wimbledon; draws which are probably seen as points dropped; although all points garnered could be crucial come the end of the season.
The importance of the three points from victories can be seen in that two recent wins have taken the Bees out of the bottom two.
In order to keep this good sequence of results going Assistant Head Coach Uli Landvreugd said today simply that Barnet needed “to continue to work hard as a team and train at a high level.”
As for the Head Coach’s availability for the fixture Landvreugd added, “It is doubtful that Edgar Davids will be fit to play.”
As for tomorrow’s match Landvreugd says, “This game will be a good test for us. We are playing well against the top teams but we have had a few poor results against sides that are near us in the table."
“We must improve as these matches are very important, although of course every game is important.”
If you are unable to make your way to Underhill tomorrow Karl Bates will be back to head up the commentary team for the Barnet Player service which will be offering full match commentary.
Tomorrow’s match programme includes features from Andy Iro and Paul Fairclough, detailed analysis of our visitors, sufficient statistics to impress John Wallis and quality match-action photographs. Elliot Johnson is the featured player on the cover.
