Edgar Davids was left frustrated as Barnet went down 1-2 at The Hive against Luton Town.
The Dutchman’s side were put to the sword in the first-half as Luton burst out of the blocks are took a 2-0 lead.
Speaking post-match Davids stated his frustration but praised his side for their second-half response.
"In the first-half they wanted it more than we did but in the second we played a lot better despite only having ten men.
"It is frustrating we couldn’t play like that from the start but they’re a good team and they showed that today."
The match was marred by a bad injury to Jonathan Smith from a Jon Nurse tackle, Davids had no complaints with the decision but was frustrated by the way in which it was made.
"For me it was a very bad moment and I know that Nurse didn’t do that on purpose but it was a very bad moment.
"It was the right decision but he went for the ball and he caught him because the other guy was quicker. The only thing you have to argue with is the rules, gave a yellow and changed to a red, it was very confusing for everyone.
"Everybody at the club of course wishes him a speedy recovery."
Davids continued by stating his belief that Barnet should have taken their chances and taken something from the match.
"If you have certain chances and you don’t bury them you’re going to be punished.
"We created a lot in the second-half, scored one and probably should have scored another one so it is frustrating."
