CONNOR SMITH SIGNS NEW DEAL

Barnet FC is delighted to announce that Assistant Manager Connor Smith has signed a new two-year deal with the Club.

Connor Smith joined the Club as a player/coach in July 2022 and would go on to make 6 appearances in the 2022/23 season.

Smith was promoted to Assistant Manager ahead of the 2023/24 season following the departure of John Dreyer and has played a crucial role behind the scenes to help Barnet secure a play-off spot and sit 2nd in the National League table as well as reaching the FA Trophy Quarter-Final this season.

Speaking on his new deal, Connor Smith said “I’m delighted to be staying, I’ve loved my time here since I arrived last summer and I was extremely grateful to the Chairman and Dean for giving me the opportunity to be Assistant Manager.

“They’ve now shown further belief in me and I’m excited to carry on this journey and very thankful to them both for their support”

Barnet FC Manager Dean Brennan added “I knew when I first worked with Connor when he was a player that he was going to turn into a fantastic coach someday.

“His work ethic is outstanding and he has a excellent football brain, add that to his personality and communication skills this allows him to be the fine coach he is now.”

“He deserves his new contract, we as a club are always looking to improve young people and Connor fits into our football clubs philosophy.”

“We are all delighted Connor has decided to commit this coaching future to us”
