COMMUNITY | ST BERNADETTES SCHOOL CHILDREN VISIT THE HIVE

We recently invited the year 4 children from St Bernadettes primary school to visit The Hive as part of the Hive Foundation’s Barnet FC Project powered by the National League Trust.

Following 5 weeks of PE delivery at St Bernadette’s by the Hive Foundation coaches, the children visited the Hive to meet Mr Bumble, some of the players and have a tour around the stadium followed by some football games on the astro turf. The children learned about the different jobs that people do at the Hive, how players maintain a healthy diet and keep fit and met players such as Danny Collinge and Anthony Hartigan.

Hive Foundation manager, Dan Barton, said ‘It is really important to us as a community club to offer experiences for local children to visit us and learn about the club. These kids are the future Barnet FC fans. St Bernadette’s are part of our community schools programme which offers a range of benefits to local schools including match tickets and funded project delivery.
