BARNET FOOTBALL CLUB

COLLINGE COMMITS FUTURE

Barnet Football Club are delighted to announce that Danny Collinge has put pen to paper on a new long-term deal with the club.

The 28-year-old joined us back in the summer of 2022 and fast forward four years, the defender has gone on to represent the black and amber army 160 times (and counting) and has scored 17 goals as he now enters his fifth season with the club.

Making the move from the white cliffs of Dover to the buzzing Hive, The defender made his Barnet debut in the club’s opening fixture of the 2022/23 National League season against Halifax Town and went on to make 35 more starts throughout the course of his first campaign in the capital.

Danny opened his account a few months into the season, heading home a Rob Hall corner in a 2-0 win away at Altrincham in November 2022.

The following season, Collinge made 30 starts as the club continued to push at the top end of the National League and scored an impressive tally of eight goals from defence, including three consecutive strikes in the first three games of the 2023/24 campaign.

The 28-year-old racked up 29 appearances in our National League title-winning campaign and netted four times, including a brace away at Southend United.

Danny made his mark during the club’s return to the EFL, playing in all but 3 games and contributing crucial goals during the business end of the campaign as the club pushed for play-offs, including back-to-back against Cambridge United and former side MK Dons.

On keeping Danny here for the long term, Manager Dean Brennan said:

“Danny has led the group and been a serious leader and he deserves his new contract.”

On committing his future to the club, Danny added:

“I’m really happy. It’s something that’s been in the pipeline over the summer and I think the club’s on a really good trajectory and It’s something I want to be a part of.”

We’re delighted for you, Danny!
