First of all, it is our duty to apologise to each and every person who tuned into this afternoon’s stream, the service and quality provided was absolutely not up to anywhere near an acceptable standard.
Since our last game, we have worked in detail with our streaming providers TourLife to highlight the problems faced in the opening two home matches. We were assured that any issues had been ironed out and that a high-quality stream would be delivered this afternoon. It is quite clear that those promises were not delivered and the standard provided was extremely poor.
Four camera positions were set up; one in level with each 18-yard-box, one in our gantry in the middle of the Legends Stand and one in our North stand gantry. However, our providers informed us 10 minutes before kick-off that they were experiencing severe technical problems with the feed and as such only had picture from the two 18 yard camera angles.
Despite spending the vast majority of the game working on the issues, they weren’t resolved and as such there was no main camera view of the action. This along with the various unresolved audio issues faced meant that the quality of the stream was nowhere near ours or your expectations and no commentary available.
Rest assured the Club will now launch an internal investigation with how we are now going to proceed with our streaming going forward. We will also be having immediate talks with our streaming providers regarding this afternoon’s service.
The Club once again apologise profoundly for letting you down and we will ensure that we make things right. It is now up to us to ensure we supply a service that we all can be proud of.
We will make a further comment with how we are going to proceed in due course and apologise once again for the inconvenience we have caused this afternoon.
