Barnet FC were very disappointed to learn of the travel issues suffered by supporters on Saturday on the away coach to Chester. This was compounded by severe traffic delays that affected everybody travelling to the game.
It is the policy of the club to use a smaller coach when there is less demand amongst supporters for certain journeys. However, we accept that this was not communicated properly to supporters.
For the rest of this season we are determined to ensure that there is always a toilet on board for journeys of over one and a half hours.
We accept that it is our duty to get supporters to the game on time and, notwithstanding the extreme traffic problems expereinced, we would like to apologise unreservedly to all those affected.
We would therefore like to offer all those who booked and paid for the coach to Chester one free travel ticket to any one of our next three away games, at Nuneaton on 23rd August, Southport on 30th August, or Dover on 10th September. Those supporters who were affected and who would like to take up the club’s offer should contact Daniel O’Riordan in the ticket office on 020 8381 3800 (extension 1028).
Once again, we apologise for the inconvenience caused and will review the service to try and improve it going forward.
