Callum Reynolds “We know what we want to achieve as a team”

Bees captain Callum Reynolds was delighted to leave Notts County with his first goal of the season and the all-important three points.

Reynolds headed home from a corner to level the scores in the first half at Meadow Lane before Simeon Akinola netted the winner.

The captain was thrilled to have picked up a valuable win on the road.

“It’s a brilliant result, it’s obviously disappointing to concede but when it is a goal like that sometimes you just have to hold your hands up”

“We reacted well to going a goal down and grew as the game went on, in the end, we could have won by more”

Reynolds’ goal against the Magpies was his first goal for the Club and the Bees number 4 was pleased to get on the scoresheet. But the skipper has other targets for the season on his mind.

“I want to stay fit, last year I fractured my spine in pre-season and was out for three months. Then I was back in the mix and I was never felt fully fit.”

“I just want to play as many games as I can and obviously help the team as much as I can”

The result sees the Bees sit third in the National League following an unbeaten start to this year’s campaign. But Reynolds’ is keeping his feet firmly on the ground and insists there is more to come from his side.

“It’s the first week of the season, so we don’t want to get ahead of ourselves”

“We have goals in our team and we know what we want to achieve as a team. But we have to work as hard as we did today”
