Former loanee George Barker scored two goals as Brighton and Hove Albion secured a 4-0 win over Barnet’s Development Squad on Monday night.
Solly March was also on the scoresheet for Albion as was Rohan Ince who got his first goal for the club.
Despite another defeat the Bees looked good on the counter attack and they were unlucky not to score despite Albion controlling the majority of the match.
The first chance fell to the home side as March forced Dillon Barnes into a save early on as he burst through the Bee defence and shot wide.
Barker, who made one appearance for the Bees, then seemingly forgot which team he was playing for as he cleared another March effort off the line and away to safety.
The highly rated Kazenga LuaLua created the opening goal as he burst past Jamal Hackett before finding Barker who tapped the ball home at the far post.
The home side continued to dominate with LuaLua further impressing but it was the Bees who crafted the next two openings.
Ishmail Kamara was first to try his luck as he sent an audacious lob inches wide before George Sykes dragged his shot wide after being sent through on goal.
The home side responded well and Toby Agdestein should have doubled their lead but he made for it moments later as he cut the ball back to March who slotted home.
With ten minutes remaining Ince made it three as his effort crashed in off the crossbar before Barker completed the scoring in added time.
