Barnet Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of experienced midfielder Carl Fletcher.

The former Wales international has enjoyed a fantastic career at the top of the game playing for the likes of West Ham United, Watford, Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest.

Fletcher also has a wealth of experience on the international stage having made 36 international appearances for Wales.

The 33-year-old’s top footballing moments came during his time with West Ham United when he won the Championship Play-Off Final and started in the FA Cup Final in a penalty shootout loss to Liverpool.

Fletcher last played for Plymouth Argyle but he decided to retire from playing at the end of the 2011/12 season to focus on managing the Pilgrims.

The midfielder trained with the Bees during pre-season before returning to The Hive in the last few weeks and the club believe his experience as a player and coach will give the Bees a big boost.

Everyone at Barnet FC wishes Carl every success during his time here and he is eligible to play against Hereford United tomorrow.

Fletcher will wear the number 39 shirt.
