BEES BOOSTED AND BUOYED

The Barnet squad will travel this afternoon in advance of their fixture against Wycombe Wanderers this evening. The game kicks-off at 7.45pm.

The Bees are obviously buoyed by the convincing display and victory over Northampton on Friday night and by playing a day earlier than the other sides in League 2 have had an extra day’s recovery.

Edgar Davids has said that the fixture list in League 2 is a tough one and he needed to see how his body recovered from the first 90 minutes of competitive action last week before declaring himself available for selection for tonight’s match.

He had planned only to play for about 60 minutes, but felt able to play till the final whistle.

It is hoped that Ricky Holmes will also be available.

Wycombe are five points ahead of the Bees, albeit with a game in hand and are currently in 21st place in the table.

Barnet legend Lee Harrison was at the game on Friday night and his scouting report compiled for his employers must have made for interesting reading, because the line-up, personnel, formation, display and result were not what most pundits would have predicted.

If you are unable to make the trip to Adams Park tonight Karl Bates will be heading up the commentary team for the Barnet Player service and will go on air at 7.40pm.
