BARNET FC APPOINT NEW DIRECTOR

Barnet Football Club are pleased to announce the appointment of new Commercial Director, Keith Westcott.
Keith, formerly MD of Sony Ericsson and VP of Ericsson North West Europe, brings a wealth of commercial experience to the club and will head up the Commercial department.
Keith said of his appointment, “’I am delighted to be working at Barnet FC, The Hive project is also very exciting and opens up a lot of commercial opportunities for the club. Since I have been here our fortunes have changed on the pitch; I can take no credit for that but long may it continue. I have known the Chairman for a long time having conducted business with him over twenty years ago. His passion and commitment to the club was a major factor in my coming here and I am really looking forward to the challenge and opportunity. I look forward to working with the current Commercial team; John, Doron, David and Oscar.”
Club Chairman Tony Kleanthous said, “I have known and done business with Keith for over twenty years and I cannot think of a better person to commercially lead the club going forward. We have spent the last few months strengthening the communications department and we are now focused on improving the sales, retail and marketing teams which will all now be under Keith’s stewardship. The Hive has opened up several commercial opportunities and it was important to appoint someone of the highest calibre to join our board. This is an exciting time for the club as we are currently looking for a new lead sponsor and are now able to offer strong international exposure coupled with our already considerable coverage both locally in London and nationally. Keith will ensure that we are focused on delivering the full support and recognition that a high calibre sponsor and partner would expect having been involved with the management of companies that represent top class brands.”
On behalf of everyone at Barnet FC we would like to welcome Keith and wish him every success at the club.
