Barnet FC are delighted to announce the addition of defender Ryan Galvin to our Club.
Ryan will officially join the Bees on July 1st 2025.
Ryan spent the last 2 seasons with National League side FC Halifax Town.
He made 38 appearances in the league this season whilst playing a key role throughout for The Shaymen.
He also helped his side secure 6th place in the league, with a play-off spot secured on the final day of the season.
Ryan began his professional youth career with Wigan Athletic in 2018, where he also spent a season on loan at Stafford Rangers during the 19/20 season, before making a permanent switch to Sheffield Wednesday in 2020.
Having spent three years with The Owls, he had loan spells with Gloucester City and Maidstone United, and shortly after made the permanent move to FC Halifax Town in June 2023.
Speaking on his arrival, Barnet head coach Dean Brennan said:
“Ryan Galvin’s been on our radar for the last 18 months if not 2 years.
He’s an athletic boy who flies up and down the left hand side.
He’s extremely dynamic and has good pace and power and we really like his personality.
As a natural left footer, it gives the team a nice balance and gives us a good option down the left hand side.
He’s had a very successful last two seasons at Halifax and is very good in both boxes from an attacking and defensive perspective and has a great frame for a wing back.
He’s hungry, athletic and reads the game really well.
Most importantly, he’s joining our Football Club for footballing reasons because of the way we play and develop players, making them better and how we commit to bring in quality in all departments.
Ryan’s bought into the philosophy and his attitude and attributes are what we look for in a player.”
Welcome to the Bees Ryan!
The deal is subject to the usual FA and League clearances.
