Barnet defeated Southall 8-3 in a behind-closed-doors friendly this afternoon as part of the Bees’ pre-season schedule.

Charlie Lakin linked up with trialist C for the opening goal in the first-half, before Southall pegged it back level.

The experienced midfielder made it 2-1, finding himself in plenty of space and firing into the roof of the net from the edge of the area to give us the lead, before the visitors equalised from the penalty spot before the break.

Kane Smith headed home from a cross early in the second-half to give Barnet the lead again and shortly after, good switch of play between Smith and Aaron Liwala saw the latter set up Isiah Noel-Williams for the youngster to slot home.

Kabongo Tshimanga made it five from the penalty spot, before adding another to the tally, slotting home a through ball from Noel-Williams.

Southall added a third in the second 45.

Bright Siaw converted from the spot after being fouled in the area, with trialist D rounding off with a fine finish.
