Last week, Barnet hosted an induction evening for the new 2025/26 EFL U18s squad and their families.
The event was designed to provide the group of aspiring professional footballers with all the information they need to best prepare themselves for their time in the Barnet FC Academy and offered a great space for the players and their families to further connect with one another.
The new cohort of the Cat 4 Academy, who form part of the Professional Development Phase, participate in the EFL Southern Youth Alliance League and also receive full-time training while pursuing their education at our partner school, Canons High School.
The Canons High School partnership offers a fantastic opportunity for students to excel academically and athletically over a two or three-year football and study program.
First Team Assistant Manager Connor Smith was in attendance to provide the young lads with valuable advice and guidance for the next stages in their footballing journey.
Representatives from the League Football Education (LFE) also came along to do a presentation to those who had chosen to enrol on the apprenticeship programme they offer.
