Andy Yiadom On Nuneaton Town

Andy Yiadom praised Barnet’s young side following their 0-1 win over Nuneaton Town.
Martin Allen made eight changes to the starting XI with the likes of Freddie Warren, Iffy Allen and Jamal Lowe all featuring.
Speaking post-match Yiadom explained how he had to use his experience to help the youngsters who in turn produced an impressive performance and a good win.
“It was disappointing last weekend but we came into the game against Nuneaton with a young side and played really well.
“I’m still young but I have played a lot this season so I had to use my experience to help the lads who hadn’t played as many games.
Despite facing a big Nuneaton side the Bees kept the ball on the floor and produced more than one moment of breath-taking football.
“Everyone in the team has the ability to get the ball down and pass it and I thought that in the second-half you saw that.
“We want to try and play football so it is good that manager gave us the freedom and the confidence to do that.”
The Bees face Braintree Town on Monday and although a Skrill Premier play-off place is out of the question Yiadom revealed the entire squad want to end the season with six points.
“We want to finish the season off strongly and take as many points as we can from our remaining games.”
Last weekend Yiadom was named Player’s Player of the Year and he admitted it was an honour to be recognised by his teammates.
“I just want to do well for the club and my teammates so it was an honour to be named Player’s Player of the Year.
