ANDREAS KLEANTHOUS SADLY PASSES AWAY

Always approachable and willing to help out in any way he could, Andy will be sorely missed as he leaves vacant his once faithfully occupied position in the Main Stand.

Andy dedicated a number of years to the club in multifarious roles – as well as Underhill’s Head Hospitality Chef, he also worked in departments including First Team Chef under John Still and even kitman. However, his lasting impact was in the former role, in which he introduced highly popular three-course meals to the Hospitality Suite guests, garnering special mention on national radio from the likes of John Motson and Ricky George.

It is with great sadness that we announce the recent passing of Andreas Kleanthous, ex-Head Hospitality Chef and dear friend of Barnet Football Club. ‘Andy’, as he was affectionately known, passed away in the early hours of Friday morning, aged 69 and survived by his wife, children (including Barnet FC Chairman, Tony Kleanthous) and six grandchildren.
