Having been in fine form so far this season, Alfie decided to make the switch to The Hive London and will certainly add something new to this current group of players.
At just 23 years of age, Alfie already has a plethora of experience having represented a number of clubs in both the Football League and non-league.
Starting his career with Maidstone United, Alfie earned a move to Millwall in 2013 where he would stay for a further four years.
During his spell at Millwall, Pavey enjoyed a number of loan spells away from the club, including a brief stint with Barnet in 2014.
Having also represented the likes of Dartford, Havant and Waterlooville and most recently Dover Athletic, Pavey declares he’s desperate to help Barnet in their push for promotion this season.
Darren Currie finally gets his man, and he admits he’s had his eye on Alfie for a while now.
He said: “I’m really pleased. He’s one that I’ve kept my eye on over the off-season.
“I didn’t think we originally had a chance of getting him but we’ve got him!
“He’s gained experience, he’s gone out and got goals and played lots of games.
“He’s a real presence for us which is something I’ve been after. He’s a good size, he’s a good age and he was really keen to come and join.
“I’m thrilled to bits!”
Alfie’s deal is subject to authorisation from the regulatory authorities.
