Barnet FC players Callum Stead and Joe Kizzi along with Foundation Manager, Dan Barton, paid a visit to 2 schools in Barnet recently.
They delivered a school assembly to over 300 children from Manorside and Tudor primary schools.
The children learned a bit of Barnet FC history and asked the players lots of questions about how they became professional footballers.
The children were very focussed and were extremely excited to meet the players and discovered how they achieved success through the values of hard work and perseverance, resilience, healthy lifestyles and determination. Both Callum and Joe are North London lads and were very happy to give up some time for the children in their local community.
Families from Manorside and Tudor Primary school are the clubs guest at next weeks fixture, Barnet FC v Ebbsfleet Utd and are a part of the Hive Foundation, Community Schools Programme (Â https://thehivefoundation.com/community-schools-programme/Â )

“It was great to have Callum Stead and Joe Kizzi in to visit our pupils. Both players and Dan Barton from the Hive Foundation were an absolute credit to the club. They were engaging, gave insightful answers to the children’s questions and gave up lots of their time to stay and sign autographs at the end. It was a fantastic experience for our pupils and got them all really buzzing about Barnet! With the prospect a return to Underhill in the not too distant future, it’s great to see the club engaging with schools in the borough again to attract the next generation of local supporters.”
