The Bees registered a dramatic win away to Dagenham on Saturday afternoon in a game filled with drama.
The hosts took a very early lead after just 13 seconds when a long ball forward down the left-hand side was swung into the box and there was Josh Umerah to place the ball past Nick Hayes and into the net.
In a lighting start to this contest the Bees had the equaliser after just three minutes when a cross was flung into the path of Idris Kanu who poked the ball past Elliot Justham to bring the scores level.
The game settled down as the minutes went on, the next chance of note came in the 25th minute when Idris Kanu tried his luck from the edge of the box, but his shot was deflected past the post.
Ryan Glover with some neat footwork allowed his to feed the ball to Bailey Hobson in a shooting position but his shot was well blocked and cleared away by the hosts.
Against the run of play Dagenham had the lead again in the 34th minute when the ball was played around the box before it fell to Romoney Critchlow in the six-yard box who tapped home.
Half Time 2-1
Two minutes into the second half and Dagenham added a third when an advancing run down the right-hand was played to Ryan Hill who smashed the ball into the top corner leaving Hayes with no chance.
Despite the third goal Barnet were still bringing the press and came close again when Glover’s cross met Nicke Kabamba in the box who fired his shot wide of the mark.
Barnet were handed a lifeline when Bailey Hobson was tripped in the box just past the hour mark. Nicke Kabamba stepped up and placed the ball down the middle of the goal to get one back.
Just three minutes later and the Bees were handed a golden chance to level the game up. Myles Kenlock was clipped when running into the box. Kabamba stepped up for a second time to bring the scores level.
The turnaround was complete when substitute Rhys Browne received the ball just outside the box before launching an effort at goal, beating Justham.
Barnet came inches away from making it five when Ryan Glover saw a header from inside the box well saved by the Dagenham keeper.
Kabamba was unlucky to not get his hat-trick when he got on the end of a Kanu cross but he wasn’t able to find the connection on the ball he was looking for as his shot was cleared away.
Dagenham would have felt hard done by in the final moments when a free kick played in met the diving header of keeper Justham who saw his effort well saved by Hayes before the rebound rattled the crossbar.
