Ryan De Havilland’s 95th minute winner secured all three points in a Boxing Day thriller at The Hive.
The Bees had a number of chances to open the scoring in the first half. The first came after just 8 minutes when Sam Beard found Ben Wynter at the back post. The wing-back got his head to the ball but it fell straight into the hands of Nathan Ashmore in the Boreham Wood goal.
Idris Kanu came close after twenty-six minutes when his effort from 25-yards out went narrowly wide of goal.
Nicke Kabamba then had the best chance of the half on the half hour mark. The forward drills his shot towards goal 12-yards out which beats the keeper but is stopped by the Boreham Wood defender who is sat on the goal line.
Kanu had another strike at goal from distance which was on target but didn’t challenge the keeper.

The goal finally came after 55 minutes. Nicke Kabamba with a low driven shot inside the Boreham Wood penalty area gave The Bees the lead.
After 67 minutes Kabamba and Bruno Andrade were shown red after an altercation.
The Wood levelled the scoring with ten minutes left of play after a goal mouth scramble.
Femi Ilesanmi was then shown a red for The Wood in the 94th minute. From the resulting free-kick, Gorman played it short to Ryan De Havilland who curled a stunning strike into the top right corner to win the derby at the death.
