The 21-year-old goalkeeper has been a regular in the Hornets under-23s team since joining the Hertfordshire Club in January 2019 from Premier League side Southampton.
Parkes has also represented his country, playing for England under-17s during his time with the Saints where he signed his first professional deal in 2016. The ‘keeper spent 10 years at Southampton, joining the Saints aged nine.
The goalkeeper is no stranger to non-league football having spent time on loan at Havant and Waterlooville in the 2019/20 campaign.
The ‘keeper joins the Bees following the serious injury sustained to Aymen Azaze in Tuesday’s night match with Sutton and provides Simon Bassey with additional cover alongside young academy graduate, James Callan.
The Hornets goalkeeper has been travelling with the First Team squad and has regularly appeared on the bench for Watford during their Sky Bet Championship campaign.
Parkes is immediately available for selection and could make his debut in tomorrow’s National League clash with Dagenham and Redbridge.
Everyone at Barnet FC would like to welcome Adam to the Club and also extend thanks to Watford FC for their part in the deal.
