Ronnie first joined the Club at the age of nine and has been developed by the Bees for the past seven years, before making his senior debut in December 2019 in our 4-1 away win over Maidenhead United.
Edwards has become a talented young player and becomes yet another product of our Club’s excellent academy and scholarship programme.
Over the past year, the young defensive player has flourished into an exceptional future talent and everyone associated with the Bees is confident that he will go far within the game.
Most recently, Edwards featured in our Vanarama National League play-off campaign and came on in our eliminator round victory against Yeovil Town. He also captained the Under 18s Bees side who went on a historic FA Youth Cup run, making it to the Third Round for the first time in the Club’s history.
Edwards now follows his fellow academy graduate Jack Taylor in making the move to The Posh and will hope to make his mark on the Football League in the years to come.
Reflecting on his seven-year spell with the Club, Edwards said: “Over the seven years at the Club, I have had many ups and downs, but the staff have been amazing right from the start and throughout my time here. I would specifically like to thank Darren and Junior for pushing me to become the player I am today.
“I’m really excited about my new chapter at Peterborough United and my future.”
Everyone at Barnet Football Club would like to thank Ronnie for his service to the Club and we wish him well for his future at Peterborough United.
